The Bare Escentuals RSVP ($54 USD / $68 CDN) set is another one of these gorgeous collections for the holiday season, but this one is only available on BareEscentuals.com or at the boutiques. This 9-piece collection features 1 eyeshadow, 1 Prime Time primer eyeshadow, 1 blush, 1 setting powder, 1 eyeliner, 1 Pretty Amazing lip color, a double ended mascara (one side defining, the other volumizing) and two brushes (one for cheeks and one for eyes) all in the most adorable box that can totally be re-used for travel or vanity storage. Be sure to check out the video review as well to see all the products in action.
The Box
The box is my favorite out of all the holiday collection containers. I love how almost each one of the larger collections has some sort of ‘useful’ storage functionality in the packaging. I like how this is two nice, large drawers and a nice flat surface to put things on too if you wish.
The Primer Eyeshadow
The primer eyeshadow is the same creaseless formula I’ve talked about before. Great pigmentation, nice metallic finish, smooth and creamy yet watch out- it sets fast! This color, Golden Peach, is definitely not one of my favourites… I find it a little too yellow. It would have been nice to see a more bronzy-gold shade to match the single included eyeshadow. Nevertheless, it is a nice product itself and will look great if you have very red eyelids.
The Eyeshadow
The eyeshadow is stunning. I love antique green/gold shades, and I think this one in After Party is simply beautiful! Especially foiled, this eyeshadow one of my favourites out of all the collections this season. Makes a lovely crease color or even smudged over top of the eyeliner.
The Eyeliner
I’ve already expressed my love for the eyeliner, the Round The Clock eyeliner in particular (this shade is in 7pm). Super creamy, effortless application, easily smudged if desired (do one eye at a time, it does set fast!) and it will stay put until you decide to take it off. No flaking, no migrating, it’s simply the best of both worlds when it comes to eyeliner (creamy and long-wearing)! The shade is gorgeous to; it’s a deep chocolate brown (looks almost black when worn) and it pairs with the other colours in this look perfectly!
The Mascara
The double ended mascara is a nifty thing to have- I love that it offers two separate looks in one; a clean and defined look for daytime (and its great for lower lashes too) and a thick, volumizing formula for ultra dramatic lashes. I love the original defining formula, I think it coats and wears nicely. The volumizing one is good too, but I just didn’t find it had the WOW factor I was going for (you know, when you look in the mirror and go “WOW”). Good basic mascara, and I’ve heard from some readers that swear by this mascara, but for me it really didn’t do much.
The Powder
The translucent powder is an old favorite of mine; while their Mineral Veil isn’t really a “blotting” powder, it does help to get rid of shine and oil without getting cakey. I love the way it diffuses fine lines and pores very nicely. I do find that I need to touch up 1-2 times throughout the day when relying on this powder to lock in my makeup…but with the new and improved containers with the click-lock lid, it’s much less of a hassle then it used to be!
The Blush
The blush is a very nice natural-looking shade called Celebration. It’s a rosy pink with a touch of shimmer, however I found it not to be as strongly pigmented as some other blushes I’ve come across. Now this isn’t a bad thing, it actually makes it a little more ‘fool-proof’ and the container still has enough to last a lifetime and a half anyways. I really love how completely natural these mineral blushes look- truly like you’re glowing from the inside out.
The Lip Color
The lip color is a warm, mid-tone peachy nude with a tiny bit of bronzy-gold shimmer. It’s looks like the perfect fall/winter lip color for many skin tones! This shade called Rowdy is the perfect complement to the rest of the makeup- enough color without overdoing it. Love the formula, it’s super comfortable but I wish there was a touch of vanilla or fruit fragrance in it! It’s a bit bland just smelling like…makeup.
The Brushes
The brushes are obviously not my favorite in the world, but for what they are I must admit, they aren’t that bad. I’ved used each of them several times and they are still soft and work great- I actually really like the Tapered Eye Shadow brush because its so densely packed (great for foiling and packing on eye colours)! The Soft Sweep Cheek brush is nice too- I really like it for keeping in my bag with the mineral veil for touch ups throughout the day. Its the perfect size for both setting powder and blush! Again, these haven’t lasted the test of time with me yet- but for occasional use and travel, I think they are pretty decent.

Summary
- Price: $54 USD / $68 CDN
- Availability: BareEscentuals.com and Bare Escentuals Boutiques
- Overall: This kit definitely has the best container, and the final look is a little bit more warm and neutral than Putting on the Glitz. A fantastic starter kit or gift! I’d rather see more color products instead of the setting powder, but overall its a good sample of Bare Escentuals as a brand.
