I know that these concealers might not look like a huge deal to you- but they are! Bare Escentuals has been known for their mineral makeup for years now, and lately they’ve been diving into not only the pressed mineral makeup world, but also now into the creams and liquids. The bareMinerals SPF 20 Correcting Concealers ($20 USD / $20 CAD) are their first creamy concealer, and it’s making quite a stir in the beauty world because of it!
The concealers come in small, individual compacts (that look quite a bit like the Bobbi Brown Correctors actually), complete with a mirror on the inner lid. They are available in eight shades; a yellow-based and a pink-based formula for each Light, Medium, Tan and Dark tones. For example, Light 1 is pink-based and Light 2 is yellow-based.
The formula is between medium coverage and full coverage (it’s definitely on the full coverage end of the spectrum, but there are some concealers like Bobbi Brown Correctors and Dermablend Concealers that are more pigmented). These have a very natural finish to them, they really look like skin without being drying. They also have SPF 20 in them, which may be important for some people.
They aren’t entirely crease-proof (nothing has beat my MAC Pro Longwear in the crease-free department to date), but if that isn’t a huge problem for you then you’ll probably love these. If they do crease, a quick pat with a finger blends it right back in.
I do love how versatile this concealer is. The formula is great for both under eyes and elsewhere on the face (for blemishes, scars, etc). Usually I find I need two different concealer formulas (something a little more hydrating for under the eyes, and something thicker and more budge-proof for the face), but this one seems to do a pretty good job for both areas.
It may not be my absolute favorite concealer, but it’s pretty darn good and definitely worth a try if you’re contemplating it!

- Overall: These concealers are pretty impressive all around. They aren’t the best in every category, but they certainly very good in all categories (coverage, texture, longevity, etc). Usually I find you have to compromise in order to satisfy your main concern, but these are fairly good at each aspect. Great shade range too.
