Batiste XXL Volume & Wild Dry Shampoo

Batiste has brought two new formulations to their popular dry shampoo line, including XXL Volume (for big and bouncy hair) and Wild (a sassy scented formula).  The two formulas also join in with the rest of the line’s new makeover, featuring a new bottle design and they also upped the volume.

I’ve already raved about Batiste in the past, but I had to do it again- they are a phenomenal dry shampoo line.  I do love the LUSH Dry Shampoo a lot, but if you’re looking for an aerosol spray formula, these cannot be beat. I’m even reaching for the Volume XXL formula even more because it actually works.

Wild features a fun scent that lingers in your hair, and while it’s good, there isn’t any difference in the product compared to the original version.  Volume XXL is a god-send. This product makes my hair so thick and voluminous- more than any volumizer I have ever used before. Hands down, my new favourite.

To apply, simply part your hair and spray lightly along the root.  Keep making parts down each side, spraying the roots…then leave for about 5 minutes.  I like to brush it throughout to evening distribute it.  It does have a white-ish cast, but even with my fairly dark hair, it disappears enough that it isn’t visible.

Summary

  • Price: $8.99 CAD for 200mL
  • Availability: Online and in various drugstores & beauty supply stores
  • Overall: I really like these two new formulas- Wild has a fun scent that really lingers in my hair, but XXL Volume is by far the most amazing dry shampoo I’ve tried. It makes my hair so thick, I can feel it! Amazing stuff. They do leave a white-ish cast if you spray too closely, so be careful and use enough distance.
  • Rating: A- for Wild, A+ for XXL Volume
