Ever since Bite Beauty launched their showstopping Amuse Bouche Lipstick, fans have been wondering when they’ll be seeing a liquid lipstick from brand as well (after all, liquid lipstick is essentially the hottest makeup must-have right now). It may have taken them a little while, but their Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick ($24) is officially here and in typical Bite Beauty fashion, they nailed it.
The sleek, modern packaging features a minimalistic grey tube with a peekaboo base to display the colour within. The doe-foot applicator is longer, slimmer and firmer than typically seen in the past, which helps to give some added precision when applying. They have the same citrusy scent as the original lipsticks too (which is absolutely addictive, in case you haven’t experienced it yet).
When it comes down to the formula, one thing is for sure: these aren’t your typical liquid lipsticks. They are possibly the most hydrating, creamy, nourishing liquid lipsticks you’ll ever use. The pigmentation is beyond impressive and the ultra-rich formula is packed with natural monoi butter and coconut oil to help it effortlessly glide across the lips.
The formula launched in 12 brand new shades (and just a few weeks later, 6 more were introduced—see them further down below). The vivid hues range from modern nudes and pinks to bold reds and oranges. They leave lips with a satin glaze instead of the typical matte finish we’ve seen so much of over the last few years (a welcome change, in my opinion).
Since these liquid lipsticks are super hydrating with a buttery texture, they aren’t going to set on the lips completely. I found them to still wear for several hours with absolutely zero discomfort, dryness or bleeding, but they definitely aren’t smudge-proof or waterproof by any means.
Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks retail for $24 each and are available online at sephora.com.
The 6 newly-released shades just arrived so I wanted to update this post to include them as well. The new shades include Chiffonade (vivd coral), Tourne (bright orange), Pare (spiced ginger), Chai (mauve brown), Stir (intense magenta) and Mix (deep fuchsia).
