For the third year in a row, Canada’s homegrown fave lipstick brand Bite Beauty launches its 2017 edition of Mauvember. The Toronto-born brand launched its first Mauvember lipstick in 2015 as a nod to founder Susanne Langmuir’s father who fought (and won) his own battle with prostate cancer—one of the diseases that The Movember Foundation supports.
While this year’s shade is the same as the one introduced last year (if you recall, it had a warm pinky hue with the cute little ‘stache engraved into the bullet) , Bite Beauty is taking things one step further by launching the shade in two of its newest products: The Multistick and Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick. All of the proceeds for both limited edition products go directly to The Movember Foundation.
The Multistick ($24), a formula launched late last summer, is a semi-sheer Mauvember shade with a buildable, blendable formula that can be used on everything from your lips to your cheeks to your eyes. The Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick ($24), launched just a couple months ago, offers up a semi-glaze finish in a quintessentially hydrating formula that Bite does so well.
Known as the “Mo-Sistas,” Langmuir wanted a fun and innovative way to support men’s health and Movember while also rocking something we all love — a lipstick. And while some of us are definitely still hoarding sticks of last year’s Amuse Bouche Lipstick (anyone else buy multiples when they know it’s limited edition? Just us?) we’re always down to expand our makeup wardrobe (and be able to justify it when it’s for such a good cause).
Consider November the unofficial official month of mauve and get swiping in support of Movember and men’s health.
