For several years now, the start of November has meant that gents all around us have committed to growing a moustache and raising funds with the ultimate goal of changing the face of men’s health. The moustaches grown serve the purpose of sparking conversation with the hopes of raising awareness and funds for men’s health programs that support those impacted by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health issues.
Women are also able to get involved as Mo Sistas, recruiting Movember participants, encouraging donations, raising awareness and supporting Mo Bros accordingly, but this year there is an entirely new way to get involved—and it’s quite a pretty one.
It’s always wonderful to see brands team up to support one another while bridging their respective communities so we’re pretty ecstatic that Bite Beauty has joined forces with the Movember Foundation to create a Luminous Crème lipstick shade cleverly dubbed Mauvember. Bite Beauty founder Susanne Langmuir felt that creating a lipstick in support of a cause that’s close to her heart would be a fun, easy and meaningful way for women to support the men in their lives that are facing health issues.
If you’re ever tried one of Bite Beauty’s Luminous Crème Lipsticks, you’ll know that it’s one of the silkiest, creamiest formulas you’ll ever try (and this particular one is no different). The mauve shade is flattering to a wide variety of skintones (I was a bit skeptical, but I definitely love it) and it makes for a perfect Fall lip shade too.
Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick ($28 CA) in Mauvember is available at Sephora with all proceeds going directly to the Movember Foundation. We are still awaiting confirmation if this lipstick is exclusive to Canadian retailers and we will update soon for our US readers!shop this story
