I have to start off by saying this product is not new- it’s actually quite old. In fact, so old it has been discontinued.  However! There is still hope! The lovely Bobbi Brown Artist Lip Palette can now be found at some Cosmetic Company Outlets (CCO’s) across the USA.  I picked mine up at the Niagara Falls, NY Outlet about a month ago and they had quite a few in stock. In a way, this is also really good because instead of forking out the regular $200 USD for this palette, I got it at an awesome discount of $140 USD instead. I am SO happy I did.

When this palette WAS available, I pondered about it for so long that I missed out (I’ve learned from my lesson)! However I’m very thankful I was able to get my hands on it in the end.  This palette contains 42 lip colours in 3 different formulations- Lip Colors are super opaque, smooth and fill the majority of the palette (the full left side); Creamy Lip Colors are a little more sheer then the lip colours, but they also have a bit of a glossy finish (some have sparkle too) and these fill about half of the right side of the palette; finally the Lip Sheers are as they sound, sheer and moisturizing (the other half of the right side of the palette). My favorite formulation is the Creamy Lip Color, and I’d probably have to say my favorite color is Bronzed Pink or Nectar.

This palette is amazing if you are a makeup artist or lipstick fanatic- for the price of only a few full sized tubes of Bobbi’s lipstick, you can get 42 colours (what I paid works out to about $3.33 per shade)… which is great for me because my tubes usually dry up or go bad before I can even finish them.  Also, this palette is re-fillable AND if your model/bride/friend wonders what product you are using on her- you can tell her and she can simply go and buy it.

As you know, I’m always just blown away by the quality and simplicity of Bobbi’s makeup.  While this palette is definitely a more wearable (you won’t be finding any ‘editorial’ shades in this palette), it’s worth it because you can actually use it and enjoy it yourself. It’s also great for a huge range of skin tones…basically there’s something for everyone in this palette.
