The Bobbi Brown Holiday 2012 Collection includes one Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick ($42 USD / $50 CAD), in the shade 24 Karat; a gorgeous mixture of gold and pink strips. Used separately, these shades make beautiful eyeshadows and when blended together, they create a beautiful rose gold shimmer to highlight the complexion. This limited-edition collection features a huge variety of beautiful gifts at every price point, so be sure to check out the whole collection here.
Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks are addictive- I’ll straight up say that. In all honesty, they don’t create much of a different look from brick to brick… but there’s something about them that keeps you wanting more. I kid you not when I say everyone needs this brick.
Rose gold! It makes the perfect rose gold highlight!
This baked powder is handmade in Italy (it’s very fragile- so be careful!) and it’s not your disco-ball shimmer… it’s sophisticated, super fine and leaves skin glowing instead of glittering. A little goes a long way, and this collector’s piece will certainly last you months if not years. The rose gold hue gives the perfect amount of warmth and color to the cheeks, but I definitely love to use it on top of a pink blush just to give an added pop of shimmer.
I really love using them on the eyes too- but I really find you need to use a primer to get the product to stick, stay on and remain crease-free.
I don’t know what else to say about this Shimmer Brick besides it’s absolutely the most stunning version I’ve seen Bobbi create. It’s universal (although best for light-to-medium skintones), it’s sophisticated and it’s festive. It’ may not be the easiest to see in the swatches, because the powder is fairly sheer- but you’ll have to trust me on this one… or get to a Bobbi counter ASAP and check it out for yourself!
Worth the splurge, 100 times over.
Summary
- Price: $40 USD / $50 CAD
- Availability: Sephora
- Overall: The most gorgeous shimmer brick I’ve ever seen from Bobbi! Five strips of light and medium gold tones, as will as a beautiful rose pink- used separtely they work beautifully as eyeshadows (although primer is a must), and when they are mixed together they create the perfect rose gold shimmer. Looks stunning as a highlight and is universally flattering (careful though- it’s fragile). Highly recommended.
