The Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Collection for Fall 2012 features the famous Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Twilight Night, a new black plum with golden pearl shade.
Bobbi’s gel eyeliner is one of the top in the world- she actually pioneered the gel eyeliner formulation, and to this day it remains one of my favorite. Intense color with a smooth, gliding application and just enough play time to smudge it softly if you wish. Once it sets- it’s there for good.
I love gel eyeliner because it gives you the sleek look of liquid liner, but with the precise application of a brush. This shade is really stunning- it’s a deep blackened purple (almost even a pewter) with hints of gold glitter- it really brightens the eye and makes them sparkle. The pigmentation is not quite on par with Black Ink (the cult classic black shade), as I found is the same case with gel eyeliners with shimmer in them.
This shade might also be a nice alternative for those who find jet black to be too harsh for their eyes. Also- make sure to keep the lid closed tight so the product to dry out on you!
- Price: $22 USD / $20 CAD for 0.1oz / 3g
- Availability: Sephora and other Bobbi Brown retailers

- Overall: A gorgeous new shade to the famous gel eyeliner line up. This one is quite pigmented (although not the most pigmented I’ve found), creamy and lasts all day without smudging, flaking or budging. A great alternative to those who find black to be too harsh.
