The Butter London Sweetie Shop Collection for Spring 2013 includes six Butter London 3 Free Nail Lacquers ($15 USD / $17.50 CAD) in a bouquet of gorgeous pastel, candy-colored shades. This collection is available now from Butter London (however a few shades are now available from Sephora too)!
Butter London nail polishes are a “3-Free” formula, meaning they are free of Formaldehyde, Toluene and DBP. This collection is complete with every pastel cream shade I could ever want and I absolutely love them for Spring… Whichever you paint on, you’re going to feel a whole lot brighter (and maybe even a little warmer).
The shades include:
- Fiver: Icy mint
- Jasper: Bright yellow
- Kerfuffle: Pink coral
- Fruit Machine: Carnation pink
- Cuppa: Light tan
- Molly-Coddled: Lavender orchid
While Butter London polishes are fantastic quality, they aren’t my favorite out there. The formula is a little bit more thin that I’d like, which I find makes them a bit more hard to apply (especially around the cuticle area). A few of these polishes like Jasper and Fiver were a little streaky on their first coat, but all of the polishes looked beautiful and opaque with two coats.
Even though the formula might not be my top pick, these shades stole my heart. They aren’t all the most unique shades, but just seeing them all together in a Spring collection is perfect (good luck trying to choose only one or two…) because they all look so appropriate beside each other! It’s hard to choose favorites, but I have to say that Fiver and Kerfuffle are going to be on my tips all Spring and Summer.
These lacquers last about 3-4 days on my nails without chipping (with a top coat)… but I prefer to sandwich them in a gel manicure so they last up to two weeks (check out my tutorial on how to do that here).
PRICE: $15 USD / $17 CAD for 0.4oz / 11mL
SELECTION: Six shades in the collection; all shown here.
