The Chanel Avant Première de Chanel Collection for Spring 2013 includes four Chanel Le Vernis ($27 USD / $27 CAD), in classic, feminine shades. One of the nail lacquers (in shade Starlet) will be limited-edition, while the others join the permanent range of Le Vernis. Available April 15, 2013, the collection pays tribute to the fragile grace of movie icons in a palette of half shades.
I have three of the four new nail polishes to show you today (only missing Provocation, a lovely raspberry shade). These nail lacquers have the same classic Chanel Le Vernis packaging, with a square bottle and removable black cap, revealing the brush handle underneath. Chanel Le Vernis is one of my favorite nail polish formulas, because they are so beautifully pigmented with just the right viscosity to make for an easy, professional-looking application.
The shades include…
- Starlet: Shimmery, peachy pink
- Paparazzi: Shimmery, burgundy rose
- Cinéma: Classic, creamy red
I love the fact Chanel created a collection composed of classic, iconic shades. Each one of these nail lacquers is universal, timeless and beautiful. I have to say that Starlet is my favorite, and this is the only one that is limited edition (so if you feel the same way too, make sure you pick it up when it launches) but I’m undeniably attracted to Cinéma because of it’s Old Hollywood glamour feel- a classic pin-up red that every woman should own.
Chanel Le Vernis tends to last about 2-3 days on me without chipping (with base and top coat), just like most nail polishes, however the texture and opacity is what makes the formula so great. They aren’t runny, streaky or gooey- the application is simple, quick and easy. Loving these classic shades, Chanel!
