The Chanel Printemps Précieux Collection for Spring 2013 includes two Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss ($32 USD / $40 CAD) lip glosses, including this golden bronze shade. This collection combines playful shades with natural elegance and is available now at Chanel counters!
While this shade in Attirance is limited-edition, the other shade promoted in the collection (Merveille) is part of the permanent range. Attirance is a gorgeous golden bronze shade packed with shimmer and a high-shine finish. This gloss comes in a completely black tube… which isn’t the most practical packaging for a lipgloss (I’d love to be able to have some indication of color besides the sticker on the bottom). The gold Chanel logo is on the top of the tube, which makes it resemble the Rouge Allure lipstick line.
The flattened doe-foot applicator has become my absolute favorite for lipgloss application- I’ve seen this type of applicator before from a few other brands, but I wish it would become more common because I find it combines the ease of application with the precision of a brush due to the flexible tip. It’s easy to apply to the contours of the lip and to be precise around the edges.
The formula is incredible… it has a gel-like texture that is packaged with shimmer, but it doesn’t feel gritty. There’s no scent to the gloss, and it goes on very smooth with no sticky or tacky feel. It has a sheer, golden bronze tint to it which I think is going to look absolutely fabulous in the summer! It is also one of the longest-lasting lipglosses that I’ve ever found that doesn’t have a sticky texture to it- so that’s great for those who crave longevity but just can’t handle a sticky texture. Truly the best of both worlds!
