Last weekend was our Spring 2012 photoshoot which was a lot of fun- spring makeup is so much easier, lighter and cleaner than fall or holiday makeup, so it was nice to return to polished canvases with just a hint of color in specific spots. I thought I’d give a little behind the scenes peek- as always, I take a ‘before shot’ of the makeup table with everything neatly lined out. I didn’t take an ‘after shot’ this time…I think I was either too embarrassed or too tired, but either way, I started misplacing things and losing things by our second model. Does this happen to any other makeup artists out there? I think there’s a little gremlin that moves the makeup around when we’re not looking.
We also tried filming the process of the looks to create some exclusive behind-the-scenes and how-to videos that can help you guys follow along and achieve the same look! I tried to use a lot of market makeup products instead of pro products this time, so hopefully the makeup we used is a bit more ‘attainable’ for most!
I also discovered that Ben & Jerry’s makes the best chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream (seriously, how did I not figure this out already)?
…and that I love getting packages that come in hot pink bubble mailers.
Question: Do you guys like reading these weekly Chit Chat posts, even though the photos are usually from my iPhone and completely random…? My mind toyed with the idea of starting a personal blog, more oriented around daily life, photography and journal-style writing… but maybe if you guys actually like reading a little more into the life of Jessica, I can just keep doing it on here! Let me know!
Also- let me know how your week went? Why not upload a photo you took this week and tell me about it in the comments? Have a great Saturday everyone! I’m off to go attempt to make some cupcakes!
