My Week, Instagram’d

I tried to love Instagram before, and gave up. I didn’t get the hype, I didn’t like the extra effort, I didn’t even think it made photos look cool… but due to immense social pressure (and already having over 600 followers on Instagram I wasn’t even aware of), I tried to force myself back into it. The truth is, now it’s kinda starting to grow on me. So, fellow beauty lovers and Instagram addicts, follow me on instagram (username “Beautezine”).

I also thought it would be a fun way to prepare for my weekly Chit Chat, since I rarely think of things I want to talk about come Saturday afternoon… but going through my Instagram photos for the week makes it a bit easier!  So that’s what I thought I’d do today.  If you like it…let me know and I’ll keep it up!

This week I sported my Emporio Armani tee in light of the Giorgio Armani Acqua for Life Challenge 2012 (and I smelled awesome with the Acqua di Gioia…has anyone smelled it? SO amazing and fresh)! I also got a wackload of samples from the upcoming Sephora Summer 2012 collections, so we’ll be seeing those popping up on the blog really soon (check out my re-cap of the event here).  Pascale came over to help organize my makeup stash, and being the great friend she was, brought some delicious macarons (totally love the coffee, caramel and hazelnut ones the most). I also went on a late night shopping binge last week on Call It Spring that I kind of forgot about (it must have been really late)… but either way, these three beauties arrived and I totally love them. Best part? All three came up to under $80!

    My week started off on a good note with my daughter’s 7th birthday, but then turned sour when I had to get her early from school because she was sick. The next two days were not good, but she’s on the mend now! I was able to test multiple products over the last few days, so there will be plenty to review next week, and I’ve been tweaking my code here and there for new, essential bits and bobs to keep the blog top-notch!

    P.S. I’ve never had a macaroon. O.O

      GOODNESS KRIS! I’d Fedex you a package asap, but they wouldn’t get there in tact. TBH, the wouldn’t even make it to the post office. Nom.

        LOL! I doubt we have any in my area that are any good, but I’ll have to see if I can get some from a bakery. If you love them that much, they must be delish!

          Trader Joe’s actually carries some pretty tasty frozen ones (sounds scary, but trust me, they’re yummy!). Defrost & enjoy for less than 5 bucks!

    My week was quite productive in terms of work and personal life. Have a few projects that are due soon, so I was working on/reviewing them all week. When I get home, there’s packing, because I’m moving in less than 10 days! I’m slowly, but surely, packing everything away, including my makeup. I notice that I need a better storage solution, so I’ll definitely be heading to IKEA soon =D.

    One of the exciting thing I did was deciding on the it bag that I want. My brother is in Europe for vacation, and Europe means designer discount lol. It’s not a whole lot of difference, but we do get the tax back, so ultimately it’ll be cheaper than buying them here in Canada, or in the U.S.

    Anyway, this week was quite eventful. I can tell next week will busier because it’ll be closer to project deadlines and closer to moving date LOL.

    I’m not huge on Instagram, but maybe I should try getting into it… Like you said, the social (and peer) pressure lol

    P.S. I want to learn how to make Macarons!

      Awesome re-cap! You definitely should check out instagram and suffer through the ‘falling in love’ stage with me LOL. Macarons are super hard to make but im determined to do it too!

    It’s been an okay week over here. My computer finally crapped out on me (super old desktop) so I was unable to post on my blog for the better part of the week. Good news is, my boyfriend is building me a new one this weekend. AND, the Earth Day Fair is tomorrow–so excited!! The weather’s been nice (but HOT), so I’ll be able to bust out the shorts tomorrow and hopefully get some color into my pasty legs!
