They say you should never judge a
book beauty product by its cover, but we’d be lying if we said we weren’t suckers for some good packaging. And we’re even bigger suckers when a brand that we already know and love team up with an interior designer whose housewares we’ve been hoarding for years. This summer, Clinique and Jonathan Adler team up for a satisfyingly colourful makeup collection, complete with Insta-worthy packaging created by the designer himself.
Inspired by some of Adler’s favourite destinations (some of which, sadly are still uncrossed on our bucket lists) like Capri, Palm Beach and Santorini, the limited edition line marries bold, summer-ready hues and graphic prints for a collection that you’ll want to display on your vanity as well as wear.
The entire line includes a range of products, including a few of Clinique’s existing Pop Lip Colour + Primer shades while also introducing three limited edition ones: Capri Pop, Palm Beach Pop and Santorini Pop. The lippies are also capped with a very design-savvy gem-like lid and Adler’s signature pattern around the tube and echoed throughout the collection.
The collection also includes a selection of Lid Pop eyeshadows, Cheek Pop blushes, a Luxe Brush Collection (that is completely swoon-worthy in the bright fuchsia), a stunning 13-shade Chic Colour Kit eyeshadow palette and a special-edition Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush, which may just be the prettiest cleansing brush we’ve ever seen.
This vibrant, punchy collection will update your makeup collection just in time for the warm summer season and, if you can get your hands on it while it’s still in stores, will keep that sunshiny, summery feeling long after the warm weather dissipates. It may even replace your own trip to Capri (but not really).
