Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator

  • The Product: A rich, yet oil-free, cream-gel hydrator that keeps your skin comfortably plumped for 24 hours. Also helps to fortify and repair your skin’s own moisture barrier with continued use.
  • The Price: $36 USD / $43 CDN
  • The Details: Now available on Clinique and Clinique Canada (both offering free shipping right now if I may add)!

I used to be a huge fan of Clinique’s Moisture Surge gel- it felt so refreshing and hydrating, yet I found it didn’t really do much for my skin besides temporary hydration. Even a the woman working at the Clinique counter called it “fluff” because it had no real long-term benefits. Now this one- the Clinique Moisture Surge Fortifying Skin Hydrator, seems right up my alley! It helps your skin to retain moisture more and more with use, and we all know that hydrated skin equals happy skin.  I’m also happy to see that it is still oil-free, even though it looks more rich and thick and not so pink-gel-like as the original. I’m eager to try, are you?

I think this would be good for my skin. Clinique has great products.

I get really really bad dry flaky skin around my eyes. Do you think this would help or what would you recommend to try? Thanks!

I think you’re better off to use a designated eye cream. Clinique does make a fantastic All About Eyes rich cream- and I love the Philosophy Hope In A Tube as well!

ok thanks so much. I will have to try one of those soon :)

I have the same problem. I’ve tried so many popular eye creams and ended up either throwing them away or returning them because they just didn’t help with the flakyness. I now use vaseline, aquafor or unpretroleum jelly and they work great.

hmmm, this is interesting. i use the dramatically different moisturizing gel and like it, i wonder how this would fair on my skin. it is on the oily side. i have read however, that if you trick your skin into thinking it’s already moisturized it will stop producing as much oil.

It can partially help control oil, but its more the other way around. Deprive your skin of moisture and you’ll be producing MORE oil!

Or how about Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief for around my dry eyes?
    Thanks

Oh goodness! This looks so interesting! I have an oily t-zone but I have very dry patches on my face, so love moisturizing my face to the extreme in the winter time! This almost sounds like something where it would help my dry areas, but not make me any more oilier! I might just have to give this a shot!

      Agreed!

Cream-gel. The word just sounds so intriguing.

This is perfect since it’s oil-free and I am on the market to find a new moisturizer!

I normally love Clinique products, but I didn’t like this one. I received a free deluxe sample of this, and I’ve only tried it about three times so far. This has made my skin extremely oily each time I’ve used it. I have slightly oily skin that can be more combination oily-dry in the winter, so I thought this would be perfect for me, but it just makes me feel greasy. I plan to give it another shot, but I’m not impressed yet.

This sounds like it would be right up my alley. Curious what a gel-cream feels like.

This would be great to mix with my foundation! :)
