MAC Lipstick Creme d’Nude

My most purchased, most worn and most loved lipstick. It’s MAC Creme d’Nude ($14.50 USD / $17.50 CDN) and it’s just the right color for my skin tone…not too dark, not too light, (i’m kind of like Goldielocks here)!  It’s a cremesheen finish, so it’s got great a great moisturizing satin finish and its not SO pigmented that it looks like concealer lips, yet enough to mute out any deep lip color.     Î’ve tried this one but with my yellow undertones I don’t think it is that flattering. For my nude I use MAC Blankety (Amplified) and absolutely love it!

      I haven’t, but I don’t remember being particularly attracted to it…my skin tone is pretty light so for a nude I think its too deep for me!

        I’m very fair (lighter than MAC, Nars Siberia is a good match) and Blankety works well on me. I like the cooler tone for nude lips, especially on us fair gals; I feel like it keeps me from veering into “death” territory. As a matter of fact, my favorite nude ever is Estee Lauder’s Pinkberry, which you’d never think would be “nude” looking at it. I will say I always top “nude” lipsticks with a pale gloss, so makes a difference too!

    I don’t think this is universally flattering, its a very “dead” nude and can look sickly on some.

      I agree it’s not universally flattering…its definitely meant for lighter skin tones. I like it because it has a pink base instead of a pure beige base so it doesn’t look like concealer.

    Pretty colour! I don’t wear many nudes, as I’m so pale, with pink undertones. It’s very hard to find a nude that works for me. The closest I’ve come is Politely Pink. Mlle from fashion flower worked for me as well, but it was a bit 60′s looking, so I’m careful about how and when I wear it :-P

    i have been eyeing for this lippy but couldnt dare coz nude lippies can make me look dead sometimes well i m loving mac hug me which is also sort of nude colour for me

    I have commented on the format of your daily beauty articles before, and I have a suggestion for you to improve it: with every product you present, you should have like “before&after” pictures, photos of you without the product and wearing it. It’s simple and easy, and would be a lot more helpful! And you don’t really need to know the product that well. Just a suggestion!

      Thanks Sarah! When I re-laucnh the new version of BEAUTEZINE, the Daily Beauty will be changing. I think you’ll like it better. Not so much info, so it doesn’t get confused with a review, and I’ll try to coordinate them with reviews or other posts featuring that product either that day or the next day so you don’t have to wait too long. I’ll also be adding some extra photos and swatches IF there won’t be a full review (ie. if it’s featured in some other way that won’t allow for swatches and stuff). I think you’ll really ilke it!

    I’m not very into nude lipsticks (I don’t really get the point of putting what looks like concealer on your lips) but I have to say that this nude looks really interesting…I might be making a stop by the MAC store tomorrow!

      It’s a very beautiful nude- it’s not concealer lips at ALL. I usually ‘tap’ in onto my lips instead of swiping because then it goes on a bit sheerer
