Dior Vernis in Gris Trianon

The Dior Chérie Bow Collection for Spring 2013 includes the Dior Vernis in 306 Gris Trianon ($24 USD / $24 CAD), a lovely mid-tone grey cream polish. This shade is the perfect accent to the soft, pretty pinks in the collection, giving the entire look a neutral accent that is on-trend without overpowering the look. This limited edition collection is available January 15, 2013 at Dior counters!

I wouldn’t think that a grey polish would be very unique, however I have nothing like this shade in my collection. It’s really a gorgeous, pigmented shade- I used two coats, however just one coat was pretty opaque on its own.

Gris Trianon has a cool undertone, almost like stone or clay, and if you would have asked me a few years ago about this polish- I probably would have hated it. I’m much more into the muted neutral shades now; I love how they both compliment and complete an entire look… plus they pretty much match everything. I think this polish would look great with some soft pink nail art as well.

Dior Vernis lacquers last about  3-4 days on me without chipping, and the brush applicator provides an easy, full-coverage coat to my petite nails. The consistency of the polish is optimal for working with- not too thick or too thin. I’m a huge fan, and if you can’t find a comparable dupe (which is probably possible… I just didn’t have one) then I’d recommend splurging on it.
