The Dior Chérie Bow Collection for Spring 2013 includes the Dior Diorblush Chérie Bow Edition in 729 Pink Happiness ($43 USD / $43 CAD), a bright, duo-tone pink blush with a delicate embossed houndstooth pattern. This limited edition collection is available January 15, 2013 at Dior counters!
This blush palette maintains all of the signature qualities of a Dior Diorblush compacts including the velvet pouch, deep navy compact, large interior mirror and mini brush applicator, however the powder in this limited-edition palette has a gorgeous, embossed houndstooth pattern.
This blush has two tones and textures within the single powder pan; the left side features a deeper, matte pink blush while the right side has a lighter, shimmery pink blush. They are quite similar in tone and can be used separately or mixed together for a satin finish.
I really fell in love with this blush at first sight, but after attempting to use it a couple times… I just couldn’t stay in love. The color is beautiful and vibrant in the pan (which excited me), however I had to layer it on my cheeks about 6-7 times just to get it to be visible on my skin. I have a fairly light complexion, so the fact this blush took so much work to show up makes me hesitant to recommend it.
I love the way it looks in the pan, and even swatching it heavily makes me lust after the gorgeous, bright pink color and beautiful texture.. but unfortunately this one just isn’t a winner in my books because of its lack of pigmentation. Too bad!
