The Dior Summer Mix 2013 Collection features four Dior Diorblush Cheek Cremes ($30 USD / $30 CAD), a new creamy (but not greasy) blush that diffuses color beautifully with it’s mousse-like texture. This limited-edition features matching blushes and nail polishes in hot, summery shades. This limited-edition collection is available now online!
I have two of the Cheek Creme shades to show you today, including 651 Panama a stunning vibrant coral orange, and 871 Bikini a hot, spicy pink. These blushes come in a glass jar with a twist-off lid (something similar to a MAC Paint Pot). I’m warning you now- keep those lids on tight because these light, mousse-y blushes dry out super quickly.
These cream blushes have a very unique texture- like I said, they have a airy, mousse-like texture to them but they are still quite creamy. Basically, they are a cream blush that has no greasy or oily feel to them, so they feel light as air on the skin and really just melt into the skin. They blend really easily and beautifully on bare skin or on top of foundation, but I’d definitely wait to apply your setting powder until afterwards (some cream products blend nicely over powers- these are not one of them).
You can use your fingers to apply, or a blush brush. Fingers are quick and easy but a little harder to blend nicely. They are quite pigmented, so only a little is needed and they have a very natural finish to them- they really look just like colored skin with no detectable makeup on the complexion. They are also quite long-lasting for being so lightweight! I was really impressed that they lasted all day.
As orange as Panama looks in the pot, it goes on with more of a coral pink tone on the skin, and I think it’s my favorite. Bikini looks a little more red, almost like a Benefit Benetint color!
