This Eye Treatment Is A Total Game-Changer

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix

Whenever a new product comes out from Estée Lauder’s iconic Advanced Night Repair range, I’m all over it. I fell in love with the classic serum years ago and is still one of my must have skincare products (it was actually the serum that made me like serum)! I also love the mask-in-oil that launched earlier this year and the intensive ampules for when I travel, but I wasn’t prepared for Estée Lauder’s newest ANR launch to top all of them in my books.

The Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix ($68) is the latest addition to the family and unlike the current eye cream in the range, this new “matrix” is more like a serum (yet it does still have a bit of a creamy texture). It’s designed to nourish and strengthen skin around the eye area for an all-over anti-aging effect.

First of all, the texture is incredible. I much prefer to use an eye serum rather than an eye cream since I feel like my makeup sits better on top of it, however I do find they don’t deliver the same long-lasting hydration that a rich eye cream does. This eye treatment solves that issue completely. The formula plumps the delicate skin around the eye to reduce fine lines and wrinkles instantly. Plus, the matrix creates a supporting barrier that actually prevents concealer from settling and creasing. I definitely notice a difference with how fresh and hydrated my eye area looks later in the day.

It can be used under the eye and on top of the eyelid, giving the entire area a fresh look (and feel)! Over time, it helps to strengthen and thicken skin, which in turn helps to diminish pesky dark circles.

My only gripe? The applicator. It’s a tad confusing and not the most practical way of applying the product in my opinion (it says to apply directly from the wand to the eye area). I’ve just been scraping some serum off on my finger then applying it to my eye area. It does look sort of cool but I think a pump dispenser would have been a little more efficient.
