Father’s Day Gift Guide

Father’s Day Gift Guide

With Father’s Day right around the corner, it’s time to show dad a little extra appreciation for all those times he fixed your bike as a kid (or if you’re like me, about 3 weeks ago). Let’s be real for a minute—men love to get pampered and spoiled just as much as we do, but they usually don’t take the initiative to do so. Father’s Day is the perfect time to spoil dad (or the father of your own little ones) with grooming products, gadgets and tools.

I’ve rounded up 8 gifts that any dad would be excited to receive, from a luxe shaving cream to a new signature scent to the Rolls-Royce of electric shavers.

Happy (upcoming) Father’s Day, Dad (and to all the other dads out there, too)! You are and always will be my hero.

  • 1 of 9 Burberry Mr. Burberry
  • Burberry Mr. Burberry
  • Burberry Mr. Burberry, $88 (3.3oz)

As a beauty editor, I receive a lot of men’s fragrances as well (especially around the holidays and Father’s Day). After a long sniff-test session, this new eau de toilette came out on top as my favorite new men’s fragrance. It’s exactly what you want a man to smell like—fres with a smoky base of vetiver and guaiacwood. The bottle, inspired by Burberry’s classic black trench coat, is sleek, masculine and luxurious too. This is a great scent to gift to any dad—but I woudln’t blame you if you kept it for your significant other instead so you can smell it more often.

  • Anthony Glycolic Cleanser, $28

This creamy cleanser has been one of Sephora’s best-sellers for men for years—and for good reason! It cleanses the skin, gently removes dead skin cells and helps to soften and lift beard hairs. It’s formulated with a mild glycolic acid, similar to many women’s exfoliating skincare products, to help rejuvenate the skin and prevent ingrown hairs (make sure he brings it all the way down his neck, too)! Not only will you get him in the habit of cleansing his face properly (key word: properly), but he’ll love the way his skin looks and feels afterwards.

Father’s day is the perfect time to spoil dad with something he might not indulge in regularly, like a luxurious shaving cream. Jack Black’s 3-in-1 formula can be used as a pre-shave oil to soften coarse beard hairs, as a shaving cream to get a super-clean, close shave and as a skin conditioner to reduce irritation afterwards. The unique, transparent gel let’s dad see exactly what and where he’s shaving to help reduce cuts and be more precise around facial hair. You’ve been warned though, he’ll be asking you to pick up more on your next trip to Sephora once he gives it a try.

  • Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue Beauty of Capri, $68 (2.5oz)

This limited-edition Light Blue fragrance came in close second—and might be an even better choice for those looking for a fresh, summery scent instead. I’ve always been a fan of the Light Blue fragrances, and Beauty of Capri is no different. It smells fresh, aquatic and slighty citrusy—much lighter than Mr. Burberry, but just as captivating. If dad already has his go-to cologne, this new scent will be a welcome change for the warmer summer months ahead.
