9 Things I’ve Been Loving Lately

Favorite Beauty Products November 2016

It’s time to share my latest beauty obsessions and discoveries from the past month. Every day I test out new products, from makeup to skincare to nail polish and more. I discover fantastic new products all the time, but these ones in particular have secured their spot in my heart (and my makeup bag)!

I would love to hear about what you’ve been loving lately too—leave a comment and I might just give it a try!

  • 1 of 9 Marc Jacobs Beauty About Last Night Style Eye Con No 20 Palette
  • Marc Jacobs Beauty About Last Night Style Eye Con No 20 Palette
  • Marc Jacobs Beauty About Last Night Style Eye Con No 20 Palette, $99

Marc Jacobs always creates the most beautiful eyeshadow palettes, and when one comes along in this size (and value), I can’t pass it up! The oversized palette features 20 buttery shadows, organized into five columns of coordinating shades (like a wardrobe of looks), but of course you can mix and match however you want.

The palette include mattes, shimmers and high-impact metallics for a variety of textures, each with gorgeous pigmentation. The palette has a huge mirror inside which allows you to see your full face and it also comes with an insert of looks created by Diane Kendal to spark some inspiration.

  • 2 of 9 Philosophy Iced Orchid Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath
  • Philosophy Iced Orchid Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath
  • Philosophy Iced Orchid Shampoo, Shower Gel & Bubble Bath, $18

I’ve always been a huge fan of Philosophy’s famous multitasking 3-in-1s, but I’m not really one for overly sweet scents in the shower. This limited-edition Iced Orchid scent launched alongside a bunch of others for the Holiday season (like the iconic Snow Angel, Candy Cane and Christmas Cookie ones).

This particular formula is so elegant and feminine, I still get that fresh feeling when using it yet get to enjoy a beautiful, floral fragrance too. It works into a great lather for cleansing and into a full tub of lush bubbles if you prefer to soak and relax. This particular scent would make a fabulous gift this Holiday season!

  • 3 of 9 NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette
  • NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette
  • NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush Palette, $20

There’s something about a good blush palette that makes me all giddy inside and this new offering from NYX does just that. It contains 8 generous-sized blushes in a variety of textures.

I love seeing the shade variations in this palette—sometimes I feel like blush palettes can contain redundant shades that look so similar on the skin, but these ones really create individual effects to match any look you’re going for. The slim compact also makes this palette fantastic for travel or for makeup artists’ kits.

  • 4 of 9 OPI Gel Break System
  • OPI Gel Break System
  • OPI Gel Break System, $13.90 each

If you’re looking for a break from gel manicures but your damaged nails need a little help to look pretty and polished, OPI’s new Gel Break collection was designed for you.

The 3-step system includes a serum-infused base coat to help repair nails, a natural nail-enhancing color (I use Properly Pink since I am fair-skinned, but there is also beige and tan shades for medium and deep skintones) and a protective top coat to seal it all in.

  • 5 of 9 Bioderma Sensibio Tonique
  • Bioderma Sensibio Tonique
  • Bioderma Sensibio Tonique, $16.90

It’s no secret I’m a Bioderma Sensibio junkie—I go through a bottle of their iconic cleansing water every couple weeks. I noticed Beautylish began selling Sensibio products that aren’t available in stores in North America, so I wanted to give them a try. I fell in love with the Sensibio Tonique (basically it’s a hydrating essence) which soothes, moisturizes and tones the skin before moisturizer. I’ve tried the Hydrabio Tonique in the past, and while I loved how hydrating it was, I’m SO happy to have a fragrance-free version now from the Sensibio line.

I also ordered the Sensibio Foaming Gel and Sensibio Mask, both of which I’ve been obsessed with as well! If you’re a fan of the original micellar water, I recommend exploring the range even more with these products!

  • 6 of 9 MAKE UP FOR EVER High Precision Lip Pencil
  • MAKE UP FOR EVER High Precision Lip Pencil
  • MAKE UP FOR EVER High Precision Lip Pencil, $18

Finding the perfect “my lips but better” shade can feel next to impossible, but Make Up For Ever’s new lip liner collection makes it a breeze. Their new lip pencil collection has a great range of neutral shades to match lips. The pencil is slim, sharp and glides on beautifully, making it really easy to sweep on and improve your natural lip line or shape.

They are fantastic for slightly overlining lips to create the illusion of more fullness (I recommend only doing this on the outer corners of the lips) or just to give more definition.

  • 7 of 9 MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Doublegleam
  • MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Doublegleam
  • MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Doublegleam, $33

The strobing craze continues! MAC recently launched an entire collection of tinted, illuminating Strobe Creams and highlighting powders to boost the skin’s luminosity for a fresh, revitalized complexion. I’m all about a good highlight powder, and MAC’s Extra Dimension Skinfinish has always been a favorite formula of mine.

In this collection, four new shades were released but I’m loving Doublegleam in particular for it’s soft champagne shimmer. The formula has a soft powder texture that applies like liquid to the skin for an intense strobing effect.

  • 8 of 9 Rodial Snake Eye Cream O2
  • Rodial Snake Eye Cream O2
  • Rodial Snake Eye Cream O2, $70

I’ve known about Rodial’s Snake collection for a while now but this eye cream sold me instantly with its description.

The formula uses Rodial’s Syn-Ake dipeptide which has a mild, botox-like effect to “freeze” muscle contractions, plus it boosts circulation around the eyes with oxygen to wake them up, Haloxyl and Vitamin C to diminish dark circles and Hyaluronic Acid to plump up fine lines. Basically everything you want in an eye cream.

  • 9 of 9 Revlon Professional Equave Volumizing Detangling Conditioner
  • Revlon Professional Equave Volumizing Detangling Conditioner
  • Revlon Professional Equave Volumizing Detangling Conditioner, $12

My long hair loves to get tangled at the nape of my neck, especially when I curl it or if it’s a windy day. I love using leave-in detanglers to help get out the inevitable knots (sometimes it’s more of a bird’s nest back there), but I find most formulas are heavy and weigh my hair down. I came across this volumizing leave-in conditioner that helps to boost body while making hair more manageable (it’s a win-win)!

The formula has been around for a while, but it recently got a brand new look. It also helps to strengthen hair, making it great for those with fine, fragile hair too.
