One of the most refreshing things I can think of, is drinking a tall, cold glass of water on a hot summer day. That feeling of quenching your thirst is the same feeling I get when my skin gets a dose of this new Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream ($10.99 CAD, available this month). This ultra-hydrating moisturizer boasts 2x the amount of moisture attracting powder due to the addition of glycerin as well as fruit water and vitamins to soothe and replenish skin!
This transparent, pink jelly reminds me a lot of the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer, a holy grail must have for so many. This formula is much thinner in consistency, almost turning into a liquid when you touch it. As you massage it into your skin, it soaks up and disappears almost instantly! It really feels like your skin is drinking that tall glass of water.
While the formula is meant for dry skin, it still works great on normal and even combination skin types (even oily skin needs hydration too)! My favorite use for it? Rubbing a bit in-between my hands and patting on top of my finished makeup to freshen up my complexion mid-day and give it a healthy, hydrated glow.
While it does have an intensely hydrating feel, i’m not totally convinced it keeps skin moisturized for 24 hours. It does last long on my skin without any sticky, tacky feel but I think very dry skin types might need it a little more often.

- Overall: Quench your skin’s thirst- this light, hydrating gel feels like a glass of cold water for your skin. I love using it to pat on top of my skin throughout the day to revitalize and refresh it! Intensely moisturizing without a sticky or tacky feeling, a great dupe for the Clinique Moisture Surge!
