I adore advent calendars (especially the ones with the really good chocolates… like the Lindt ones!)- there’s just something about opening a little cardboard door and getting a small treat everyday! L’Oreal and Loose Button have taken that exciting concept, and created one of the most brilliant gift-giving ideas I’ve ever seen.

It’s a great concept, but there are a few things that did disappoint me that you should consider. $109 is definitely a lot of money for an advent calendar… and I know that these are deluxe samples (*ahem*… one of them is not deluxe. I wasn’t happy to see that- especially at this price).  I think that I would be more inclined to buy these as gifts if they included 1-2 full-sized items or the redeemable gift-card was more than $10 (that won’t even put a dent in most full sized versions of these products).

It is, however, a luxury box so I do understand the higher price… I just think it is a bit too high for what you get.  If the price isn’t an issue… then you’ll love it. The included samples are fantastic and some of my favorites are in here (shu uemura cleansing oil, Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture lipstick, Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Mascara and Lancôme Généfique serum)!
