Want to switch up the traditional red manicure for something a little more fun, sparkly and unexpected this holiday season? Try this gorgeous, shimmering star nail art manicure this year, featuring rich teal and brilliant white gold (or change up the colours to match your outfit)!

    Start off with a clear base coat, like essie First Base to ensure your manicure stays put.

    Apply two coats of Satin Sister, a deep, peacock blue, to create the base colour on all nails except the pinky fingernail.

    Apply two coats of Getting Groovy, a shimmering white gold, to create the base colour on the pinky fingernail.

    Use a striping brush to create a large, half-diamond shape covering half of the ring finger (as if it is extending onto the pinky nail) with Getting Groovy.

    Fill in the half-diamond shape with the striping brush.

    Create smaller diamond shapes in varying size on the remaining fingernails with the striping brush. Start off with a “+”, then create curved lines to join each point.
