IMATS Toronto 2011: My Goodies

Published On November 18, 2011 | Events, Hauls

I promised I’d show you guys what I picked up from IMATS Toronto 2011- so here it is! I also have a “haul video” on its way (upload attempt #5….ugh) so you can see the products a bit better. Check back for reviews, swatches, looks, etc. with all these products! Enjoy! If you were there- let me know what you picked up too! If you want to read about my experience, click here.

Nigel’s Beauty Emporium

Nigel’s had tons of makeup artist essentials, and I was definitely running low (I even had to send my boyfriend to Sally’s the last time I had a photoshoot to pick up some spare mascara wands)! I made sure to pick up tons of tools that will last a long time.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics

I can’t go a year without buying from OCC, and this year I wasn’t really wishing for any more lip tars (I already have tons) and I really wanted to try out their water based airbrush foundation! I bought a pack of minis in yellow-base because I use yellow-based foundation 99% of the time!

TEMPTU

Just some essentials here… a strap for my compressor so I can have both hands free while working, and some airbrush cleanser (because the formula I use is silicone-based, you need to use a special cleanser for it)

LIT Cosmetics

A new brand to me this year! I knew I wanted to get some glitters, and the selection was incredible! I tried to get some universal colours that can be used in a variety of different looks. I also liked the fact they had different sizes, so I was able to get some more finely milled glitter as well as chunky ones.

I was given this sample kit to try and I must say I’m quite excited. Pascale ended up buying some of their full size brushes, and now I’m wishing I should have.

My yearly tradition is to get two stacks of pigments from Naked- this year I couldn’t resist their new Heavy Metal collection and I also ended up getting their Cotton Candy collection, which I’m thinking is going to be perfect for spring looks!

Zuca

Last but certainly not least, my biggest present to myself was a Zuca Pro. I’ve wanted one for YEARS- and I think I deserve it now! The years of rolling around a huge granny cart, tackle box train case and 5 extra bags have finally come to an end. Pricy, but no regrets- this is my new little beauty buddy!
