Kiss Nail Dress

A salon-worthy manicure in minutes is no longer a dream… with all the awesome new releases in the nail world, including these Kiss Nail Dress ($6.99 USD / $10.99 CDN) accessories, you can doll up your tips in no time (yet they look like you spent hours)!

The Packaging

Each kit comes with 28 nail stickers in varying sizes (so you can match them up to your finger nails perfectly).  It also comes with an instructional booklet with other nail art ideas, and a nail buffer to help smooth and shape your nail sticker to the perfect contour of your regular nails. The kits are sleek and I love how the front of the packaging really allows you to see what nail designs you’re looking at! The problem I experienced was that they don’t really have names, or at least the designs don’t have them on the box- not a huge deal, but it would be nice.

The Product

I was quite surprised when I first tried out these nail stickers.  I was expecting them to be thin and foil-like (similar to the Sally Hansen polish strips), but they weren’t at all. They are actually pretty thick and plastic-y, especially ones with more intricate designs and jewels. They work in a similar way to the polish strips, you place the sticker on your finger (making sure to choose a size that will wrap to each sides of your nail),  smooth it out, fold the end over and then use a nail buffer to basically “cut” the excess off.  It’s a more difficult application than the polish strips, but you can achieve some pretty cool effects with them.

The one downside to these strips are that they are quite thick, and look it (especially up close).  From a few feet away, they look fantastic, but a closer look reveals they look a lot like…stickers on your nails (which is what they are). It’s not really a bad thing, especially if you want an intricate manicure without the work, and also zero-dry time.  The best part about these is that you just peel them off! No nail polish remover needed!  They do stick pretty well on their own, but start to lift around the edges after about 3 days, so I they aren’t a long-term option for me.  Still worth having a few packs on hand for emergencies and last-minute events!

Summary

  • Price: $6.99 USD / $10.99 CDN
  • Availability: Various drugstores (See their website for a list of retailers)
  • Selection: 18 Different Styles
  • Overall: Not the most believable manicures because of their thick, plastic material. Easy to apply with a bit of practice and look nice from a few feet away (too close up, and you’ll see they are stickers). Fairly good hold, but not long-term. I love how they remove without nail polish remover!
