The Lancôme In Love Collection for Spring 2013 includes three Lancôme Kohl in Love ($26 USD / $24 CAD) eyeliners in rich chocolate, vibrant blue and bold jade. The entire collection is filled with juicy pinks, spicy corals and fresh blues & purples that whisk you off to a tropical beach in an instant. Available February 2013 at Lancôme counters (but it is already available online here).
I have one of these limited-edition eyeliners in the shade Jade Crush, a gorgeous turquoise shade. The pencil has a beautiful white label with colorful, floral detailing.
This pencil is incredibly creamy and pigmented- one swipe on the skin leaves an opaque trail of pigment without any pulling or tugging. It’s incredibly vibrant as well. The formula is incredibly long wearing as well (even on the waterline)- in fact, it’s quite difficult to remove, so make sure you’re using an oil-based makeup remover to make it a bit easier. It also has some smudge-time before setting, so you can soften the line if that’s the look you’re going for.
The only downside to a pencil this beautifully pigmented and incredibly creamy is that it isn’t always easy to be precise with. It’s nearly impossible to keep a pointy tip and sharpening creamy pencils like this can waste a bit of product. That problem is the same you’ll find with any other creamy pencil though.
My favorite way to wear this eyeliner? As a pop of color on the lower lashline, with black eyeliner on the top lashline and lots of mascara. Simple, easy and perfect for spring and summer!
