Lise Watier Pastel Power Illuminating Beads

The Lise Watier Pastel Power Collection for Spring 2013 includes the Lise Watier Pastel Power Illuminating Beads ($29 USD / $29 CAD), a lovely detailed jar with pale pink and pastel blue illuminating powder balls.  This limited-edition collection is full of luscious pinks, soft corals and muted greens- all working together so perfectly for a beautiful, Spring-appropriate collection. Available now at Lise Watier.

This limited-edition highlighter is quite unlike anything else from Lise Watier, and is quite reminiscent of the luxury Meteorites from Guerlain.  The jar is really beautiful, with a mirrored top and cute peach and mint detailing. The jar fits into the palm of my hand, filled with pale pink and blue pearl-sized beads. There are much more pink beads than blue, which allows the product to be more neutral with just a hint of blue undertones.

The application of this type of product involves swirling a brush directly into the beads to pick up the product and then apply it to the complexion; these beads are quite fragile though, and I feel like after several uses, most of the beads will probably be broken and crushed.

The product has quite a cool undertone, and comes off quite pale. I feel like it would be best for fair to light  skintones, but it may start to look too ashy on those with medium to deep skintones. The texture is also very satin-y, not shimmery at all. It does give a nice luminescence to the complexion but it is quite subtle and may not be enough glow for some people.

Not my favorite highlighter, but not a bad product either. I find the application a little bit of a hassle for a finish that has a bit of chalkiness to it.

My apologies for the lack of a face swatch- i’m currently travelling and forgot to take one! I will do a look with this collection, so you’ll be able to see it on me then and I’ll update this post with a photo once I get home!

I was tempted to pick this up but I think I’ll test it out before buying to find out if it gives me a good enough glow :)

This definitely remind me of the Meteorites from Guerlain but at a much better price. I may actually check this out.

ahh it’s so pretty! I’m a sucker for any powders that come in ball form like this haha. Gonna hold out for the Meteorites though, I think they’re worth the splurge.

Oh the packaging is lovely! I see what you mean about the chalkiness though, even the swatch looks chalky :/
