The Lise Watier Pastel Power Collection for Spring 2013 includes the Lise Watier Power Kiss Gloss ($21 USD / $21 CAD), light peachy-pink lip gloss. This collection is full of luscious pinks, soft corals and muted greens- all working together so perfectly for a beautiful, Spring-appropriate collection. Available now at Lise Watier.
This limited edition lipgloss has a gorgeous silver floral detailing on the transparent tube that matches the rest of the collection. I think it’s one of the prettiest lip glosses I’ve seen in terms of packaging and design! The formula is very sheer, so even though it looks like a deep apricot shade, it really goes on with the sheerest hint of coral peach.
The gloss has a fresh… almost floral scent to it. The formula isn’t sticky, so it feels quite smooth on the lips, but I’m still not a fan of the texture… it just feels so thin to me. That, coupled with the tiny amount of product that actually comes out of the tube, makes me a little impatient with this lipgloss. If I have to pump it into the tube and apply it more than 5-6 times, I just get a little frustrated. It barely applied any to my lips, so I it took me a good few minutes to actually achieve the glossy look I wanted… that didn’t make me too happy!
I know that it is marketed as a ‘sheer gloss’, but even sheer should have at least a hint of color. It’s not transparent, so I was expected a little more of a hint of color than I got. On top of a nude lipstick, you may see some peachy pink… but on top of my lips, I could barely see anything.
While it’s not a bad gloss itself, I feel like it just took too much effort to apply for such a little payoff. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t suggest picking up this shade… but grab the Lipstick instead, which was awesome and has a great color payoff!
