Step 1Using the MAC Eye Shadow X4 Palette in Spoiled Rich, sweep "Pin Up Purple" all over the eyelid, blending out the edges softly.
Step 2Apply "Spoiled Rich" to the outer 1/2 of the eyelid, blending up into the crease to add depth and dimension.
Step 3Deepen the outer "V" and crease using "Ron Ron Run", ensuring to blend well to give a smoky appearance.
Step 4Use a stiff, angled liner brush to apply "Gravel" to the upper and lower lashline, softening it lightly and creating a thicker line at the outer corner.
Step 5Apply both "Ron Ron Run" and "Gravel" to the lower lashline, feathering softly for a smoky appearance.
Step 6Line the upper tightline and lower waterline with a deep, black kohl pencil. This really helps to create a dramatic look, and separates the purple makeup from the whites of the eyes.
Step 7Curl your lashes and apply a few coats of your favorite black mascara to both upper and lower lashes
Step 8This step is optional, but I find it really takes this look to the next level. Apply demi lashes to the outer corners of your eyes. Instant eye lift!
Step 9Lightly sweep the MAC Powder Blush in Prom Princess to the apples of the cheek for a light, berry flush. A little goes a long way- so blend well!
Step 10Highlight the tops of the cheekbones with the MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder in Veronica's Blush; it leaves a radiant, pink glow that goes with the blush so nicely
Step 11Lightly tap the MAC Lipstick in Betty Bright onto lips and press them together; this will give a much lighter and more natural look to the lips as the lipstick is highly pigmented.
Step 12Apply two coats of the MAC Nail Lacquer in Comic Cutie to finish the look with a pop of coral pink color!
I’ve pretty much been excited about the MAC Archie’s Girls Collection for Spring 2013 since MAC teased us with a few details about it back in fall of last year. It’s a big collection… and the buzz on Twitter and blogs is telling me that it’s going to sell out quick (so stalk MAC’s website or show up early on February 7th to your store)! I really thought I was going to love Veronica’s collection more, because I always loved her more in the comics… but when I got to play with the entire collection before Christmas, I fell in love with Betty’s shades too! See the full collection here.
I really fell in love with the Pearlmatte Face Powder in Veronica’s Blush; it really brightens up my complexion and adds a nice glow to my cheeks (plus it’s got a little more pink pigment than most highlighters I own). I’d love to know what pieces from the collection, if any, you just can’t wait to get your hands on!
