Look Book: Smoked

Without fail, whenever a friend comes over and asks me to do their makeup, they always ask for “a smokey eye”.  This term is probably the most widely-known makeup look (a lot of women will even say their boyfriends/husbands know what a smokey eye is!), and for a good reason- it makes your eyes look absolutely fantastic!  I’m so in love with the Urban Decay Smoked Eyeshadow Palette, because it gives you all the colors you could need to create endless variations of smokey eyes!  Its the perfect palette for anyone who loves doing them, or even who wants to learn how to do them.

Even though the palette comes with an awesome how-to book filled with looks, I decided to play on my own and create my own smokey eye! First I applied Evidence from my lashline up into the crease, blending out the edge softly. Then I swept the same color under my lashline, connecting it at the outer corner. I deepend the outer corner and crease with Blackout on a fluffy brush, again, blending well in the crease. I highlighted the brow bone with Kinky, and used it to help soften the edges of the dark eyeshadow. I applied a little Mushroom on the inner corner to give it another dimension of color, then I lined my upper and lower lashline with the included Perversion eyeliner.  After I set the liner with more Blackout eyeshadow, I applied mascara to both top and bottom lashes.  I finished off the look with a soft pink blush and nude pink lipgloss!
