Look Book: Styleseeker

From the moment I laid eyes on the MAC Styleseeker Collection, I knew exactly what kind of look I wanted to do. I actually got to have lunch with the PR rep from MAC Canada and she explained how the collection was inspired by the colors and textures from different places all around the world. You can really see the theme come alive in the promo picture of the collection, and that’s where I took my inspiration from.  This orange-hued, almost arabic-inspired makeup look is something that I’ve really never done before, but I love the way it turned out… it’s perfect for fall!

First I used the MAC Eye Shadow X2 in Marché Aux Puces, these two shades are perfect for each other! I used Chessa, the light orange shade all over the lid (and a little on the inner corner), then I worked Indie Spirit, the matte brown, into the outer corner and crease.  I used a little black gel eyeliner to line my eyes, and finished off with black mascara. For the cheeks, I used MAC Blush in Hidden Treasure, a deep, burnt-red powder blush, to give a warm flush to my cheeks (a little goes a long way with this blush). Finally, I finished off the look with MAC Mattene Lipstick in Fashion Nomad.
