Loose Button Luxe Box Review & Photos

If you could come along with me shopping to any beauty boutique, store or counter you would know that I’m a total fiend for samples (honestly, who isn’t?)… I love being able to try new products without committing to buying the full sizes yet.  Many of you have probably seen or heard of these beauty sample subscription services popping up on YouTube, blogs, etc (the most popular being Birchbox)- and I think the idea is fantastic however I have one complaint…. us poor Canadians are almost ALWAYS left of out of fun (be it free shipping, discounts, contests, etc).  Loose Button recently came out with a similar subscription service which is available to Canadians now (and US citizens soon) so we can join in on the fun!

Basically a subscription service to the Loose Button Luxe Box works like this…

  1. Sign up for the service for $9.95 CDN a month
  2. Each month you receive a cute box filled with 3-5 deluxe-sized samples of luxurious products to try
  3. Each box includes a sheet with product details and how to use the samples included

I really like this idea, because its like getting a little box of surprises each month (and the sample sizes are totally awesome).  My only complaint is that I already had the full sized versions of two of the included samples- so for someone who has a whole lot of makeup/beauty products, you may run the risk of getting duplicates. However for the general consumer I think its a great idea (and it would also make a fantastic gift- the gift the keeps on giving!).  I’d love to see some customization options from Loose Button, perhaps the option to have more samples for a higher price or to be able to choose your samples so you avoid duplicates.

I purchased this box last month and I received:

  • My Face Works Hydrating Mask
  • Balmshell Lipglosses
  • Benefit High Beam
  • AHAVA Hand Cream
  • Cellnique Moisturizer

Right now, the Luxe Box subscription service is only available by waiting list, however they have decided to allow my readers to skip the waiting list so you guys can try it out immediately :)  You do have to click through this link (Note: I do not receive a commission, this is simply to let them know that you’re a reader of BEAUTEZINE and it will allow you to skip the waiting list). Edit: You’ll still be put on the waiting list when you sign up, but you’ll get bumped to the top so you should receive an email from them in a couple business days!

I’m definitely going to continue my service- especially as a beauty blogger its nice to be able to try out new products before buying them just to make sure I like them :)  What do you think?
