The MAC All For Glamour Collection for Holiday 2012 is a part of the Fabulousness series, and includes three MAC All For Glamour Touch Up Kits ($39.50 USD / $47.50 CAD), available in three different shades- Medium, Medium Dark (shown here) and Dark.  Each compact contains a pressed powder, a lipstick and a mini powder puff.  The collection also features a Face Kit / Gorgeous Bronze, which I reviewed here. This limited-edition collection is now available from MAC, and you can also see the rest of the collection here.

These compacts feature the same satin pillow-like design with bow detailing. It’s incredibly cute, and I love the fact its meant for touch-ups (because it means I can pull this adorable palette out of my purse more often)! The large interior mirror is great for checking up on your makeup, while the pressed powder removes shine and you can touch up your lip color!

Even though the shade Medium Dark terrified me, I was surprised at how light the powder actually was! MAC Blot Powder is incredibly sheer, so it doesn’t have to be a perfect shade match. It blots away excess oil and shine perfectly to keep you looking fresh throughout the day.

Each palette comes with a Sheen Supreme lipstick (one of my favorite MAC products!), and this one in particular has shade Bare Again, a neutral pink beige. It’s honestly one of my new favorite lip products because it’s so beautiful! This shade compliments my skintone perfectly, and the hydrating lip color is so moisturizing and glossy too!

Of course, it’s easy to swap out the lipstick for a different shade of your choice (it has to be the Sheen Supreme formula though- the regular MAC Lipsticks don’t fit). Unfortunately you can’t do the same for the powder… once it’s gone, it’s gone for good and there’s no way to refill it.

The price is a bit outrageous, considering you’re getting a tiny amount of powder and a single lipstick… so keep that in mind. Unless you’re dying for the packaging, it’s more economical to just pick up the actual powder compact and a separate lipstick… however, I’m totally not judging if you’re lusting after the compact (it’s that cute).

• Overall: An adorable and functional compact for daily touch-ups! The large mirror makes it easy to see, the blot powder removes shine and excess oil in a snap without leaving you looking cakey and the lipstick is definitely one of my new favorite shades. You’re definitely paying for the packaging, but I totally understand if that’s a reasonable justification for you- it’s adorable!
