The MAC Marilyn Monroe Collection for Fall 2012 was highly anticipated, but unfortunately fell short of my expectations. There were a few good products in the collection, like the Lipsticks, Nail Lacquers and Dazzleglasses. The Eye Shadows were a big disappointment, and the Beauty Powder & Blush was decent but nothing spectacular.  The packaging was also a bit distracting (logos and images covering up visible color), and the glossy black plastic wasn’t the most glamorous I’ve seen.

In short, it was a hit-or-miss collection, but despite that, I know that many out there wanted to get a piece of the collection just to have- Marilyn Monroe is a classic icon and I’m still happy that MAC decided to create this collection.  If you did long for a piece of the pie, I hope you were able to get whatever you were wishing for!
