I really couldn’t be bothered to wear fake eyelashes everyday, even if I absolutely adore the way they make my eyes look. Every so often though, I’ll tack on a few individual flares to give a little extra oomph to my eyes- and they are so quick and easy to apply it’s really not a bother at all! Lately I’ve been using the MesmorEyes Individual Lashes ($4.59 CDN)… let’s see what these can do!

The Packaging

These individual lashes come in a sleek package, which makes them good for storing backups (I’ve always got a couple packs waiting).  Each pack contains 48 flares, which each have about 5-6 single lashes.  The holders themselves are easily stackable too for storage.  It took me a while to realize that the length of the lashes is written on top of the holders- so I’m happy I found that out instead of trying to guess each time which length is which.

The Lashes

Individual lashes aren’t really like strip lashes- you can get away with using inexpensive ones and no one can really tell, because they look super natural either way. I always keep a pack of short lashes and medium lashes on hand, regardless of the brand…but with MesmorEyes I found the short ones to be longer than I need, so I really just use those (and even trim sometimes).

Focusing on the outer corner, I use about 3-4 flares per eye each time, so at 8 lashes per use you’re getting about 5 uses out of a single package.  The downside to individual flares is really that I wouldn’t recommend reusing them as you can do with strip lashes. Usually I go for DUO lash glue, but the MesmorEyes Lash Glue #1 is actually pretty amazing stuff!  Its much thinner and dries a lot quicker which I definitely love…and it holds these babies on like no tomorrow.

I love what a difference just 3-4 individual flares can make! It does take a bit of practice and getting used to the application, but because there’s such a small amount of glue- it dries so fast and takes really no time at all!  Practice makes perfect.
