The NARS Spring 2013 Collection includes the NARS Blush ($20 USD / $24 CAD) in Seduction, a gorgeous, berry wine shade. The collection is full of vibrant hues, reminiscent of the 90′s, that creates a fun, graphic statement for the season. Available now at Sephora!
I love how sleek NARS blushes look; the rubbery black packaging with interior mirror, the long and thin compact… I think it’s so pretty (and they organize so well)! This shade in particular surprised me a bit; I feel like this berry hue would be more suited for a fall collection- I love reaching for these deep, berry blushes in cooler months because it adds this extra warmth to the skin, while I prefer to reach for softer, brighter blushes in the warmer months.
Either way, it’s a gorgeous shade. The powder has a satin texture- no visible shimmer, but it definitely leaves a sheen on the skin that helps to boost the glow factor a bit. It’s crazy pigmented… and a little goes a long way my friends. Use a light hand with this blush and blend well- remember, you can always add more, but it’s difficult to take away too much.
It swatched a little patchy on my arms, and I found it a little dry and chalky to rub in… but on my face I found that it blended really nicely (so don’t be fooled if you’re turned off by the texture in store). While I may not be reaching for this sangria blush this Spring season- you better believe I’ll be waiting to use it this fall for sure!
