What a cool concept! Broadway Nails has combined their popular imPRESS Press-On Manicure with their fun Kiss Nail Dress stickers in this unique and fun Nail Designer Kit ($12.99 CAD). With four different kits to choose from, each contains 24 nails and 2 sheets of pre-cut nail stickers, so you can get creative and make your own fun nail art.

Even though I had a lot of fun customizing my own nail designs, my first thought for these kits was how fun they would be for a pre-teen birthday party or gifts for young girls. I love how these kits allow you to be creative, unique and the product itself is great quality (I’m a huge fan of the imPRESS Press-On nails already).

The kit comes with everything you need to complete your manicure- simply fit the nails to your nail beds so you know which ones to decorate, then apply the pre-cut nail stickers however you wish, letting the excess hang off. Then, just as you would trim any nail appliqué, use the nail file to buff at the edges of the nail and remove the excess.  Finally, peel off the adhesive backing and stick it onto your nail!

The kit claims to last up to a week, and while these are quite long-lasting press-on nails, unfortunately I wouldn’t agree they last a week. I’d give them 3-4 days of great wear (but I find the Kiss Nail Dress does lift easily, so make sure you file the edges well).  One more issue I had with the kit- I feel like the nails got bigger. I have very petite nails, and while the original imPRESS kits fit my pinky fingernail perfectly, the smallest nail size in these kits was a little too large for my nail, causing it to overhang on the sides. I’d love to see imPRESS come out with a petite set, especially becuase I think these would be perfect for young girls and teenagers!

These kits hit drugstores and mass retailers this March 2013, so keep an eye out for them. They are limited edition, so if you love the idea, stock up!
