I know that these aren’t really new anymore… but they are new to me because this was the first time I purchased them, and I believe they will probably be new to many of you because these re-designed MAC Pro Palettes had a very quiet launch.
The new large MAC Pro Palettes are now purchased with the palette and inserts sold separately- they look a lot like Z-Palettes when they first arrive, with a black case, clear lid and no separators inside. You can use them as a freeform palette as is, or you can purchase extra separators for different products. The smaller palettes (2- and 4-pan) still come with the standard MAC Eyeshadow inserts.
The options available include…
- Empty Palette ($18 USD / $21.50 CAD)
- 15-Pan Eyeshadow Insert ($9 USD / $11 CAD)
- 6-Pan Blush Insert ($9 USD / $11 CAD)
- 12-Well Cream Insert ($9 USD / $11 CAD)
- 24-Well Cream Insert ($9 USD / $11 CAD)
As you can see, MAC has added the 12- and 24-well inserts for creams, lipsticks and other solids or semi-solids. I purchased a 15-pan eyeshadow insert to create my own “Favorite MAC Eyeshadows” palette that I can keep on hand, and I also purchased the 12-well cream insert to create either a lipstick palette or a concealer palette (haven’t decided yet which one)!
Just wanted to share a few photos and show you the new designs!
