I was planning to review each one of the new Sigma travel brush kits on their respective launch dates, however I didn’t actually get my hands on them until afterwards, so I decided I would review them together to go over their similarities, differences, pros and cons and help you make the best choice if you’re trying to decide which one to go for! Each kit retails for $59 USD and can be purchased from Sigma Beauty.
The Packaging
Both kits come in a similar protective case which doubles as a great storage system! I like to keep clean brushes in one cup and dirty brushes in another. Both come in cute boxes with a gorgeous artistic design and instructional pamphlets on the included brushes, as well as some of their uses.
The Brush Collections
Each kit contains 7 brushes that look, feel and work the exact same as their big sisters (except for the F30 Powder Brush, it is made a little smaller), the handles are simply shorter. This is not only great for travel, but for people who actually prefer short-handled brushes (hi mom)!
The Kits
Sigma Make Me Up Travel Kit in Make Me Crazy
This is the travel version of the original professional Make Me Up Kits (that I love and adore). These ones come in four colours, just like their big sisters, in Purple, Black, Aqua and Coral. These kits are permanent as well. I think out of the two, this one has a better selection of brushes and will allow you to be more versatile with your makeup application. The 7 brushes in contains are:
- F30 Large Powder Brush
- F40 Large Angled Contour Brush
- F60 Foundation Brush
- E40 Tapered Blending Brush
- E55 Eye Shading Brush
- E30 Pencil Brush
- E65 Small Angle Brush
Sigma The Cities Travel Kit in Paris
This collection comes in four different colours, just like the Make Me Up ones, only these ones are available in Red, Black, Pink and Brown and they are limited edition. I was a little less impressed with the choice of brushes in this kit, however considering the fact that the original one exists, they are a pretty good selection of “extra” brushes. It IS possible to use this kit for an entire look, although it is a bit more tricky because of the lack of a designated foundation and concealer brush. The colours are gorgeous and just like the Premium kit is a complement to the Original kit, the Cities travel kits are a great complement to the Make Me Up travel kit. The 7 brushes in contains are:
- F30 Large Powder Brush
- F15 Duo Fibre Powder/Blush Brush
- F05 Small Contour Brush
- E45 Small Tapered Blending Brush
- E35 Tapered Blending Brush
- E60 Large Shader Brush
- E05 Eyeliner Brush

Summary
- Price: $59 USD each
- Availability: Sigma Beauty
- Overall: Great quality travel kits; the Make Me Up travel kits are more practical if you can only get one. The Cities travel kits are a great complement if you already have a good set of brushes; they CAN be used alone, but they might be a little more limiting.
