NYFW Day 1: Interview with Lauren Goodman

Today I had the fantastic opportunity to meet fashion editor Lauren Goodman, and chat about fashion and beauty.  As an AMEX insider, I was able to sit down with Lauren in the gorgeous Skybox, where she is hosting during NYFW Spring 2012.  She told me she was most excited to see Marc Jacobs, Rodarte, Band of Outsiders and few others.  When it comes to her own wardrobe, right now she’s loving jumpsuits and flowing, draped pieces (accessorized by her baby bump, as she liked to put it)!

Predicting color, patterns and length as the main themes for the 2012 collections, she explained how the makeup tends to reflect these trends as well, like the bold pinks, purples and even turquoise lips on the Richard Chai runway earlier this morning.  I loved her down-to-earth personality and enthusiasm for fashion.  She even let me take a sneak peek into her makeup bag, and I must say- it was pretty cool seeing some of my own must have items in there too!
