NYFW Day 6: Sophie Theallet

The Sophie Theallet show was much-anticipated by many…the runway at MADE was absolutely packed, and for good reason- the collection was stunning.  Sophie’s use of colour was brilliantly executed in this Spring 2012 collection, combining bold shades together like green and hot pink (even in the shoes) which came together beautifully.  There were also several pieces that were a little more sophisticated, yet simply gorgeous as well.  My absolute favourite piece is the green, strapless, maxi-dress (seen above, and below)… I loved the way it flowed as she walked, but that was really something you had to see!

It was also fantastic to meet the designer backstage after the show!  All of the AMEX VIPs agreed that her collection made us want to skip Fall and Winter and head straight into spring with these gorgeous pieces! Afterwards, we headed back to the AMEX VIP lounge for the ultimate treatment! The lounge had a hairstylist and manicurist for anyone who wanted to get their hair and nails done, as well as snacks, drinks, sandwiches and more!
