Q&A: How Can I Do My Makeup Quickly for School?

Some of my favorite ‘quick fix-its’ for getting ready in a pinch!

How Can I Do My Makeup Quickly for School?

The easiest way to speed up your makeup routine is to reach for multi-tasking beauty products.  These usually can simplify your routine and save a few extra minutes so you can hit the snooze button one more time.  Here are 3 quick tips that got me through those early mornings before school:

1) Powder Foundation

Powder foundation was always one of my favorite beauty products when I had early morning classes.  Not only does it only take a few seconds to apply, but depending on the formula, you can get great coverage so you can skip the concealer too! Also, it mattifies your skin and keeps it looking fresh throughout the day. Some of my favorites include the Youngblood Pressed Mineral Foundation and the Cover FX Powder FX foundations.

2) Complexion Brighteners

It’s not always to be bright and awake for your early AM classes, but you can definitely look it! With a couple quick swipes on your brow bone, inner corner, outer corner, cheek bones, bridge of your nose and cupids bow, you’ll be on your way to looking like you just got a full 8 hours of sleep the night before (even if you were up late partying studying). My favorites? The new bareMinerals Well Rested Face & Eye Brightener and Benefit High Beam.

3) Lip & Cheek Color

For a fresh, healthy glow… it’s always a great idea to get some color into your complexion. One of the biggest mistakes I made when I was in highschool was that I thought I didn’t need blush… boy was I wrong! It will totally change your face, make you look healthier and happier (really, it does)! Plus, a touch of color on the lips is always fun and a great way to feel polished and put together… so why not do it at the same time? I love the Stila Convertible Color in Petunia as well as the Benefit Posie Tint for fresh, natural-looking color!

First day of classes today and I was completely late – I would have just ran out the door but major breakout session going on, so I had to slap on concealer but I was thinking that a Cover Fx powder foundation would be so useful right now too !!
