If you’re in the process of stocking your freelancing kit, this might be helpful for you! Depending on the type of makeup you’re doing, this may change, however these are the tools I found I used most often when I would do photoshoots.

  • Lipgloss Applicators (either doe-foot or brush-tip): These are great for getting lipgloss out of tubes, applying it to lips and even works with lipstick too. Th
  • Mascara Wands: Whether they are traditional or plastic, these are probably the most important. Always have extras on hand and use a different applicator for each dip into the tube to prevent cross-contamination. Also great for grooming brows and separating lashes!
  • Q-Tips: great for cleaning up mistakes and smudging eyeliner or even applying eyeshadow in a pinch. I really like the super precise and pointed tips because they are great for fine details.
