Quick Tip for Natural-Looking Concealer
One makeup mistake that I see happening so often is also one that I do a lot, mainly for convenience, but if I’m ever going out for a special event or have some extra time to get ready, I’ll always follow this tip. Every makeup bag should have two concealers; one meant for the under eye area (in a pink undertone) and one meant for the face (in a yellow undertone).
Concealing dark circles is best done with a pink or peach concealer, because it counteracts the blue discolouration while concealing… and these formulas are usually more moisturizing to the delicate area. Concealing blemishes, scars, redness, etc is best done with a yellow concealer, because it counteracts the red discolouration while concealing… and these formulas are usually more dry and stay put better on the face. Using a yellow concealer under the eyes can look grey, and using a pink concealer on blemishes can…well… make them look more pink. Counteract discolouration while concealing!
