Quick Tips for Long-Lasting Eyeliner Looks
I seriously can’t get enough of Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner ($21 USD) because it really is quite universal! Here’s a few different “looks” you can achieve from one single product.
- Liquid Eyeliner Look - Use a thin, angled eyeliner brush (my favorite is the Bdellium Tools 760T Brush, $7 USD) to apply a smooth line from inner corner to outer corner, making it thicker at the outer corner and flicking it out to create a cat-eye. Gel eyeliner gives you the look of liquid with the precision of a pencil.
- Smudged Pencil Eyeliner Look - Use a precise eyeliner brush (like the Sigma E05, $9 USD) and apply the gel liner to the very base of the lash line, going 2/3 of the way towards the inner corner. Next, use a smudger brush (like the Sigma E30, $9 USD) to quickly smudge it out and soften the eyeliner. You can also smudge some eyeshadow on top if you weren’t quick enough!
- Eyeshadow Pencil Eyeliner Look - This is the softest look possible, use a flat smudger brush (like the Sigma E55, $9 USD) to push the liner into the lash line, as close to the lashes as possible. This dense brush will give you a soft application that looks like eyeshadow, but lasts a lot longer!
