Sephora by OPI Metro Too Chic Set

This Spring, Sephora by OPI is all about chic shades in a gorgeous array of matte, shimmery and iridescent classics. The Sephora by OPI Metro Too Chic Set ($24.50 USD / $30 CAD) includes six mini nail lacquers, perfectly coordinated for the hottest trends this Spring. Available now at Sephora.

Every season, Sephora by OPI releases one of these mini nail lacquer sets around a certain theme. I was totally attracted to this set at first glance- the shades are so feminine, modern and sophisticated (plus the names are adorable, as always).

The shades include…

  • Pale is the New Tan: Opaque ivory cream
  • Arose Beyond Shimmer: Ultra-fine silver & hot pink glitter
  • Metro Too Chic: Dark, smoky purple with pink shimmer
  • Keys To My Hybrid: Deep, berry magenta
  • Nifty Shade of Grey: Purple and grey duochrome
  • Tweet You Later: Light, mauve pink cream

The shades were pretty consistent overall, requiring only two coats for an opaque finish (the only one that needed three coats was Nifty Shade of Grey, which was much more thin than the others). The formula has a great consistency that makes it both easy to work with and precise at the same time.

Sephora by OPI Nail lacquers typically last 2-3 days on me without chipping, with a top coat.  My favorite shades out of this set have to be Tweet You Later (not only because it’s such a lovely, chic mauve shade… but the name is adorable) as well as Arose Beyond Shimmer. Personally I prefer the full-size bottles, because I do find the smaller ones a little more difficult to apply with the smaller cap, however if you’re looking to extend your nail polish collection without breaking the bank, these sets are the way to go.

Nifty Shades of Grey reminds me of Zoya Ki and Adina! So I expected the consistency description lol I have to ask though, was Arose Beyond Shimmers hard to remove?

      Of course. LOL

*sigh* I’m too hopeful haha, one day there will be a glitter polish that WON’T be such a pain in the butt to remove!!!

I love almost all of these! Metro Too Chic looks really similar to Misa Life Without Knowing

Arose Beyond Shimmer looks stunning! I so wish I could buy this. Although we have Sephora’s in The Netherlands we don’t have the same products as Sephora’s in other countries. Which feels as bit unfair to me.

Beautiful pictures, by the way. How did Pale is the New Tan turn out for you, in terms of application and such? I’m having a hard time finding a pale cream that is legitimately opaque.

Check out OPI- if there are any from the Euro Centrale collection anywhere, those have the best opaque pale creams!
