This Fall, Sephora has introduced two new Sephora It Palettes ($32 USD / $38 CAD) including this one shown here in Smoky. Also available in Nude, each palette consists of 12 gorgeous eyeshadows, an eyeliner and a double-ended brush. The palette has a gorgeous magnetic-closure python-pattern case in a trendy metallic finish too.
If you’re all about smoky eyes, then this palette was made for you! The shade and texture range is impressive, giving great versatility and endless possibilities. The eyeshadows vary in texture including matte, satin, metallic and sparkle. They range from the brightest white to ultra black and everything in between including cool-toned neutrals and deep smoky colors.
Overall I think the palette is fairly good quality, especially for the price point. The pigmentation and quality varies with each texture, however the ones that would be most useful are definitely strong shades (like the matte black, silver shimmer and metallic mauve and green shades). The sparkle textures are pretty much Sephora’s “sparkle topcoat” finish, so they really just add a touch of sparkle without depositing much color- which is nice and can be a great addition to the look, but if you were expecting a pigmented shade you’ll be left disappointed.
Most of the shades were very smooth and blendable; only 2-3 of them felt chalky and were a little difficult to blend (mainly the dark shades in the bottom row). The eye pencil was actually very creamy and pigmented, so I was happy to see that. It didn’t smudge or migrate on me, however I’d still recommend setting it with the matte black eyeshadow just to keep in locked in place. It’s also handy to see the double ended brush featuring one end for eyeshadow and one for eyeliner!
It’s not the Urban Decay Smoked Palette in my books, but it sure does a good job and offers some great, unique shades and textures. A great overall palette for those who want to experiment with different types of smoky looks!

A fairly good smoky eyeshadow palette. I like the range of shades and textures, however some are definitely better than others. The value is good for what you get, and the majority of the shades are fairly good quality. Some of the darker shades were a bit chalky, and 3-4 of the sparkle topcoat shades barely had any pigmentation (which is normal- it's just important to note it). Great for smoky eyeshadow beginners and experimenters.
